Listen! He has something to say about EVERYTHING.
You might have to forgive me in advance: I deliberately watched my daughter cry today! I had a simple message for her: you won't fall asleep in my arms; young lady, you’ll have to fall asleep without any rocking, cooing or lullaby.
I had been a textbook father for a while; by that, I mean, I had been reading from babycenter.com and glanced through other textbooks on babies and I had some volumes as well. I was committed to practicing them carefully. Right in the middle of one of my practice sessions of trying to make sure she didn’t get used to certain things, I got accosted by the Holy Spirit. He spoke up on the inside of me – from my spirit. It was quite instructive. I must say the Holy Spirit is the best at everything. He is omniscient. He knows how to raise children best!
Then I was reminded of a statement that had caught my attention when I watched Steven Spielberg's Lincoln about 2 weeks back. Daniel Day-Lewis played Abraham Lincoln and in a conversation with Tommy Lee Jones, who played Rep. Stevens, the Chairman, House committee on Ways and Means, he said "the compass I learnt, when I was serving, it will point you true north from where you are standing but it's got no advice about the swamps, deserts and chasms you will encounter along the way. If in pursuit of your destination you plunge ahead, heedless of obstacles and achieve nothing more than to sink into a swamp, what is the use of knowing true north?"
Although that was in the 1860s, long before GPS satellites and other high-tech navigational aids came to be, that statement left me thinking about the capability of the Holy Spirit in the life of every child of God. He is more precise than the compass and even better than the most advanced technological navigation aid.
The Total Life is impossible without his help. The Bible says He has been the executor of God's instruction since creation began. He moved into the earth permanently since the day of Pentecost and he makes His home in the heart of all who receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour. He is the administrator of The Total Life; leading, guiding, teaching and instructing each Child of God. Sometimes in spectacular ways, but mostly He speaks to the heart of God's children. That Yes or No, Move or Stop, Do or Don't, Green or Red, Peace or Lack of Peace, is the Holy Spirit instructing our hearts.
Sometimes he instructs us through The Bible, he also gives detailed instructions.
He gave me some about my daughter yesterday, I didn't hear it with my physical ears but somewhere down in my heart.
He'd instruct anyone who would listen to him on all areas of life. The Total Life can't indeed be realized without him.
Spend time with him through the reading, studying and meditation of The Bible and also through Prayer, especially in tongues. As you do these, you would grow to understand his dealings with you.
The Total Life is God's will for you and yours. The Holy Spirit is actually eager to instruct you in and on every area of life. He is eager to teach and bring you into the experience of The Total Life.
Make these declarations boldly:
I hear the voice of God.
I am supernaturally led by His Spirit.
I have accurate and precise instructions for every area of my life.
My manifestations are not aborted.

The Total Life
The Total Life
“Life is good...Life is beautiful…Life is peaceful…Life is hard…Life is unfair…Life is unpredictable.” This list is endless. Different people, based on their experiences and that of others, have coined different phrases to explain life.
Experiences have a way of making people conclude their version of life is the valid one. This is so especially because of repeated occurrences of an experience and many other stories they hear similar to theirs.
But the most important view of life can only be from the author of life.
Indeed, God, who is the author of life, clearly shows that life can be Total and His greatest desire is that everyone experiences His version of life.
Everyone can have a total life!
This is not some catchy phrase with tacky details, neither is it too good to be true. But rather it captures how God expects life to be and that is how you should desire it to be.
Some people don't have struggles with whether God wants it for them, the struggle is as to whether it's too tall a dream for them to attain or gun for.
God's reality is still absolutely unshakeable despite the odds revealed by many cases around us where people fall short of a Total Life.
Everything God created until man, he adjudged good; but after he created man, he upgraded his assessment to Very Good.
In one place, God said he wired us with the capacity to produce good works and live a good life.
In another place God said his ideas, thoughts and plans for you include completeness, soundness, welfare, prosperity, health, peace, tranquility and wholeness.
In yet another place God said each life has been planned to be super-abundant in quantity and superior in quality.
The word of God more than convinces us that His plan for us is to live a Total Life.
He wants us to have a complete, whole or, simply put, a Total Life where nothing is missing, lacking, broken, stolen, delayed, denied, withheld; where nothing is uncontrolled, complicated, twisted or distorted.
And Yes, you should have better than a happy ending, the Total life is yours for the taking!
The most profound truth is that God has already done everything needed for you to have a Total Life.
To take full advantage, you need to:
1. Have a relationship with the Author of The Total Life and that by accepting Jesus as your lord and savior.
2. Desire a Total life. You've got to want it.
3. Search out the Author's manual, (The Holy Bible) where you’ll find what God says about every area of your life (family, career, health, finances, etc.)
4. Make continuous confession about all that God has said about the different areas of your life. As you do this, you will start building an image of a Total life.
5. Walk with the Holy Spirit as he leads and instructs you per time.
The Images you develop from God's word for different areas of your life form the blue print of a Total Life. As you continue walking with God, the blue print will eventually become a reality.
Make this bold declarations:
I have a colourful Life.
I have a complete Life.
I have a healthy image of a Total Life.
I'm rooted in God's word.
I'm sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
I have a Total Life!

I thought of titles I could call this blog: 'The good life,' 'The complete life,' 'The whole life.' Then I thought, 'The Total Life' and voila!
I must have passed up many opportunities to write some amazing posts; I must start anyway.
